Burry Port Church, Glanmor Terrace, Burry Port |
When a
group of Cornish tin miners came to Burry Port to work in the foundries
they missed their English language Methodist Churches. They asked their
boss if land were available to construct a church and this he made available
at a peppercorn rent. They then set to work and built the attractive
little brick building near Burry Port Harbour. Once a very well attended
and active church it in more recent years has lost a number of faithful
members and has only recently begun to see growth again. |
